Dedicated to making a difference.
KN Circet prides itself on being a large employer in the communities we work in at home and abroad; support is provided on a yearly basis to various youth sports and activities. It is important for us to see empowerment brought from our success to the communities we work in.
Charitable donations are spread over many causes along with participation in various charity events. As a company we receive a great deal from the public and like to give something back; not alone in monetary terms but also in personal time and commitment.
KN Circet has been a large supporter of Temple Street Children’s Hospital. Along with many other events, KN Circet organised the Blue Stack Shoes Festival in Donegal where our efforts raised enough funding for one of the four isolation rooms equipped to deal with children who are particularly vulnerable to infection, like cystic fibrosis patients in the refurbished Top Flat. With over 1,900 children being admitted to the Top Flat Ward every year and having no upgrades since the 1930’s the €2m upgrade was necessary to improve the conditions for their patients.
Time for Giving
Every Christmas KN Circet gives a donation to the Irish Capuchins in aid of homelessness: 2015 however brought a new found sense of giving as all staff willingly gave up their Christmas staff party in order to donate €30,000 to two charities. The donations went to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital and Temple Street Hospital. To make 2015 stand out even more KN Circet CEO, Donagh Kelly slept outside Christ Church Cathedral to raise money for Focus Ireland which helps to prevent and combat family homelessness. Donagh raised €35k for the charity.
In February 2012 KN Circet undertook a programme which provided technological services to St. Josephs School for the hearing impaired in Makeni, Sierra Leone. We installed VSAT to provide internet services enabling the staff and children to have internet access. In conjunction with this we championed the refurbishment of eight rooms and a new kitchen allowing the school to provide overnight accommodation for guests and create a revenue stream.
KN Circet also financially support the HOPE Foundation which is a charity working with street and slum children in Kolkata, India. HOPE works to free children and poor families from lives of pain, abuse and poverty and operates over 60 projects which reach out to those most forgotten; offering protection, healthcare, nutrition, education, rehabilitation and a family for life.
GAA Fundraising and Sponsorship
Every year KN Circet launches the KN Circet All Ireland GAA Golf Challenge in aid of charity. The Challenge invites GAA members to represent their GAA clubs on the golf course with the aim of bringing home the All-Ireland title which is a Waterford Crystal replica of the Liam McCarthy Cup. The organisation of the challenge is done on a voluntary basis and all profits are directed towards charities.
KN Circet is also the new Title Sponsor of the senior Donegal GAA team for the seasons 2016 to 2018 having been generous supporters of Donegal GAA fundraising over the last number of years.
