All staff at KN Circet sacrificed a €30,000 Christmas party, in order to donate all the proceeds towards charity instead.
Employees made the decision off their own bat and donated two cheques worth €15,000 to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital and Temple Street Children’s Hospital last month.
Donations made to CMRF Crumlin are used to continue funding the purchase of world-class medical equipment, funding capital costs and hospital rebuilds, funding lifesaving paediatric research and supporting the great work of the Giggle Fund for sick children throughout Ireland.
“From everyone here at CMRF Crumlin, thank you for your commitment and incredible support. You are helping to make a huge difference to the lives of Ireland’s sickest children.” said CMRF Crumlin Development Manager, Mary McGrane.
With more than 145,000 children through their doors last year alone and the busiest Accident and Emergency Department in Europe, Temple Street was also an obvious choice for KN staff.
“On behalf of all the patients, parents and staff here in Temple Street Children’s University Hospital, I want to thank you and your entire team at KN Circet for your incredibly kind and generous donation of €15,000. We all appreciate your support.” said Chief Executive of Temple Street Children’s Hospital, Denise Fitzgerald.
