Supporting Ian

KN Circet, proud Sponsor of the All Ireland GAA Golf Challenge were in attendance recently at Michael Lyng Motors to unveil the custom adapted new Utility Vehicle for Kilkenny Teenager Ian O Connell.

16-year-old Ian, a member of Spa GAA club, was seriously injured when he fell from his bike last summer. He is currently paralysed from the shoulders down and the KN Circet All Ireland GAA Challenge organising committee set themselves a challenge to provide Ian and his Family with a state-of-the-art wheelchair accessible car.

The KN Circet All Ireland GAA Golf Challenge is in its 19th Year and Club teams from all over the country meet every year between the All-Ireland hurling and football finals for a two-day tournament in aid of a worthy cause.  This year the two-day challenge takes place at Concra Wood and Nuremore Golf Clubs in County Monaghan on the 24th and 25th of August.

There also to lend their support were Kilkenny Hurling Stars of past and present (Eddie Keher, Richie Power, Tommy Walsh, Richie Hogan, Walter Walsh, Katie Power) and Derek Mc Grath.

We wish Ian, his dad Michael and his mother Nora well and we wish them happy motoring in this specially adapted Ford Vehicle.
